About the Author

Hi, I’m Paul Estabrook, though most people call me Papa. I’m the proud grandfather of six beautiful grandchildren who inspire me every single day. Creativity has always been part of who I am, whether it’s building in the workshop, painting with color, or finding new ways to bring ideas to life.

My journey into writing began when I discovered the Three Principles through the books of Sydney Banks. One day, I caught myself noticing a simple but life-changing truth: my feelings weren’t coming from the outside world, they were coming from my own thoughts. That small insight opened an entirely new world for me.

I realized that stressful situations no longer had the same power, anxious thoughts came and went without sticking around, and many of the stories I told myself about “what might happen” or “what already happened” were the very cause of my feelings. By seeing thought for what it is, I began to live more in the moment, and I discovered a deep sense of freedom and peace.

That experience is what inspired The Thought Explorers, a children’s book series designed to help kids see the connection between their thoughts and feelings. When children understand this, something amazing happens: big feelings feel less scary, worries lose their grip, and imagination becomes a source of strength instead of fear. Families can share these stories together, creating moments of laughter, learning, and emotional resilience that last a lifetime.

My hope is that these funny, heartwarming family stories spark curiosity and wisdom, and remind young explorers (and the grownups who love them) that the greatest treasure they’ll ever discover is already inside them.
